'The New Black' Film Examines 'Homophobia' in and 'Exploitation' of the Black Church

First, we want to ask you is there a such a thing as 'The New Black?'  The title of this documentary is in error, because to be gay is not black, it is a sinful lifestyle, according to these following scriptures.  However, we do admit there is a such a thing as being homophobic.  For example, as soon as a gay person walks into a room, you should not fear him or her.  Another example, you should not grab your child as though a gay person is going to molest them.  Those two examples have been within the black church long enough and yes, it needs to be discussed, but to call black being gay is just going too far.  It's unfair, to put all African Americans within the community as gay people and this term, 'The New Black', we never heard of it until Obama got in office.  Furthermore, we've heard that there are some white gays who have it much easier than black gays, so the title is the trick of the enemy. 

Biblical Scriptures against Homosexuality 

•  1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." 

• Leviticus 18:22 - "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable." 

• Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads." 

• Romans 1:26-27 - "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
