The former pastor of First AME Church, Rev. Cecil Murray has started Faith Leaders Institute. His goal is to teach 50 leaders from faith-based organizations to reach out to their neighborhoods. We think his plan will work, if those who follow his guidelines will take action. According to LAsentinel.net, Rev. Mark Whitlock, CMCCE Executive Director said, “Our goal is to carry forth the vision of the Rev. Dr. Cecil “Chip” Murray to see faith communities actively and productively engaging the public square.” We look forward to the outcome of Rev. Murray's dream.
