We admire Damita Haddon and how she allowed all of the mess that surrounded the split and divorce of she and Deitrick Haddon to settle before coming forward about the divorce on her own...She is now newly married now and has moved on but she remained silent for over two years while going through the divorce process and beyond. Well, did they know producing music that sounds like R&B is the same thing? Did they know collaborating with secular artists was the same thing? Did they also know that sampling or remixing songs from secular music was the same thing? They can not tell us that they haven't already sold out by wanting to sound like the world and bringing the mainstream music into the church is alright in their souls. They've even made excuses why dressing sexy is ok for them to do as gospel artists. It's as if they did not realize that wanting to look or be sexy has nothing to do with singing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We just know these gospel artists know doggone better than this. It all started back in the day when The Clark Sisters and many before them though they were 'saving souls' in the club by performing there. We are sure some people got saved but even years ago, we wonder just how effective it was? The world is a tempting place and if you are not careful, the very thing you are trying to help others will have you backslide on your own salvation. We're just saying.

Professor Melvin Crispell died at Carolina Medical Center in Pineville, N.C...Melvin Crispell Jr's funeral was held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Freedom Temple Ministries in Rock Hill, SC.

interviewed Michael Winans Jr. who is getting ready to do 13.9 years for
scamming people from a Ponzi scheme. He states he was involved in the
alleged pyramid scheme called YTB (Your Travel Business)
and many people in his downline did not make money so he was once again
approached about a Saudi Arabian crude oil bonds, Tim Hunt, the creator
of the fraudulent oil investment.

Once again, some folks are upset with Erica Campbell for wearing a fuchsia pink dress just as she did on her album photos with the white fitting dress. The dress is beautiful and we know that she and her sister believe in loving themselves and their bodies. As a gospel artist, we think that being sure and confident with yourself and your body is fine but is the dress still a bit too distracting for a performance at a church on Easter Sunday?

A young nine year old boy was kidnapped from his driveway in SW Atlanta earlier this month. Little Willie Myrick said the culprit drove him around for quite a while but dropped him off unharmed in East Point.

First of all, I don’t espouse that Gospel Artists judge their effectiveness by their numbers in the industry. I don’t even agree that Gospel music should be an industry (as we know it). However, this is the measuring rod the Gospel Artist themselves have ascribed to. Ultimately, most Gospel artist have left Christian labels because they wanted to reach more people and sell more records. It was all about evangelism and reaching souls right? Wrong!
